Eighties rock legend Adam Ant is set to join the string of artists making comebacks, with a new tour announced for the first time in 15 years, according to reports from the Daily Mail Online.

Once voted the sexiest man in America, Ant – real name Stuart Goddard – made the revelation onstage at Under the Bridge, a popular Chelsea nightspot.

The singer and strummer, who is famous for such hits as Stand and Deliver, and Prince Charming, is re-emerging in a new ensemble, The Good, The Mad and The Lovely Posse.

The group will launch a UK Greatest Hits tour in May, kicking off the action in Brighton before stopping by in Birmingham, Glasgow, London and Liverpool.

The 56-year-old is reported to be keen to get the show on the road once more, saying: ‘I’m really looking forward to it.’

He also batted away the idea that he might be too old, claiming that his game is better than ever ‘now that I know what I’m doing.’

The Greatest Hits Tour will begin in Brighton on May 16.
