Artists around the globe are contributing to the aid that is being raised for the recent earthquake victims in both New Zealand and Japan.

Lady Gaga has sprung into action in an attempt to aid the people affected by the Japanese earthquakes through her ‘we pray for Japan’ wristbands that have raised over £150,000 already.

She used her Twitter account to drum up support by saying “Little Monsters, show your support for Japan with this wristband”.

All the proceedings of the wristbands go straight to the Japan appeal which helps the country in any way possible.

The Black Eyed Peas are also raising awareness over the earthquakes by announcing their latest single’s video ‘Just can’t get enough’ has been dedicated to the people affected. Their music video features a link to the Red Cross to encourage people to donate.

Turning our attention to the New Zealand earthquakes, the Foo Fighters have announced that they will play a gig in the country in order to raise awareness and funds for the people needing aid their too.

The band claimed that they would do “what they could” to help the people affected in New Zealand.
