The Darkness to make a shock return?

Posted on 11 March 2011 by Mizzle

Big band news as it looks as if the Darkness is set to reform after more than 4 years away.

www.thesun.co.uk have reported that Justin and Dan Hawkins have apparently resolved their differences after bust ups in 2006.

The original band mates, Ed Graham and Frankie Poullain are expected to also return to the band, with the original line up being dubbed to be reforming.

There are now rumblings of a big return which includes a third album and The Darkness to hit the festivals very soon.

Justin Hawkins, the lead singer of the band, walked away from the group after his battles with cocaine and drinking binges.

Hawkins said “I hit absolute rock bottom. I spent over £150,000 on cocaine in three years – a frightening amount”.

“I became secretive, volatile and verbally abusive, a really unpleasant person to be around. There are lots of periods I don’t even remember, blackouts” he continued.

But now it looks as if Justin has overcome his battles, with the recent launch of a website hinting the return of the original darkness.
