Cities We Sleep In

My Mates in a Band

Don’t you hate those awkward moments when you make friends with someone who tells you they are in a band, you go to watch them and then have to hide behind the nearest pot plant at the gig because you’re too ashamed and embarrassed to tell them how bad they were? Luckily this wasn’t the case with James Brown from Birmingham based band ‘Cities We Sleep In’. In fact it was quite the opposite and I was pleasantly surprised, even shocked at the quality of sound they produced.  Having seen them for the first time at the Actress and Bishop, after blagging my way in under another friend’s name, I was taken aback by their alternative rock/post hardcore style. These guys are definitely ones to watch.
