Sonisphere organisers reveal day ticket ballot

Posted on 11 May 2011 by Mizzle

Organisers of this year’s Sonisphere have announced that due to overwhelming demand for the festival they have revealed that they have a limited number of tickets available through a ballot scheme for the lucky few.

The day tickets will be on sale through THE POWER BALLOT scheme where people who apply for tickets will be given an equal chance making is as fair as possible.

Those who want to register should sign up at www.sonispherefestivals.com/uk before the end of play on May 23rd, which is when the ballot closes.

Organisers recommend applying for weekend tickets rather than entering for three seprate days as it works out cheaper and the whole festival can be experienced. Entering the scheme is not limited and people can enter as many times as they like to increase their chances of obtaining tickets.

Those lucky enough to obtain tickets through the ballot system will be notified by email by May 25th and will be told where and how they can purchase their tickets with a maximum number of four tickets allowed per person costing £80 per day per ticket plus the booking fee.

The festival will play host to some of the biggest names in rock so why not get your entries in as many times as possible as it promises to be one of the best festivals set for this summer!

Bill Bailey to headline at Sonisphere

Posted on 28 March 2011 by Mizzle

Bill Baily is set to headline the Saturn Arena Stage on Sunday for the largest ever live comedy performance at a UK rock festival.

Sonisphere Festival Knebworth has revealed their first batch of comedy acts for this year’s event. From the beginning, Sonisphere has proved that it’s more than just a rock festival. In its first year the mix of rock legends with Abba and Bjorn Again tribute acts with a hugely successful comedy line up, went down a real storm.

Headlining on the Sunday night is comedy hero and multi-instrumentalist Bill Bailey. Bill started out on the stand-up circuit, before having his own show commissioned by the BBC. He’s now a household name and has enjoyed great success through teaming up with Dylan Moran in Black Books.

Another comedy act at Sonisphere this year is Jackass superstar Steve-O. There are very few men who have inflected as much damage to themselves for entertainment as Steve-0. With his previous shows consisting of hilarious anecdotes and shocking stunts, including balancing knives on his face whilst squeezing fresh lime juice in his eyes, this is something not to be missed.

Sonisphere Knebworth Festival takes place 8th – 10th July 2011.
