Sonisphere organisers reveal day ticket ballot

Posted on 11 May 2011 by Mizzle

Organisers of this year’s Sonisphere have announced that due to overwhelming demand for the festival they have revealed that they have a limited number of tickets available through a ballot scheme for the lucky few.

The day tickets will be on sale through THE POWER BALLOT scheme where people who apply for tickets will be given an equal chance making is as fair as possible.

Those who want to register should sign up at www.sonispherefestivals.com/uk before the end of play on May 23rd, which is when the ballot closes.

Organisers recommend applying for weekend tickets rather than entering for three seprate days as it works out cheaper and the whole festival can be experienced. Entering the scheme is not limited and people can enter as many times as they like to increase their chances of obtaining tickets.

Those lucky enough to obtain tickets through the ballot system will be notified by email by May 25th and will be told where and how they can purchase their tickets with a maximum number of four tickets allowed per person costing £80 per day per ticket plus the booking fee.

The festival will play host to some of the biggest names in rock so why not get your entries in as many times as possible as it promises to be one of the best festivals set for this summer!

Posted on 13 April 2011 by Mizzle

Organisers of this year’s Sonisphere Knebworth have announced new additions to the comedy line-up which promises to make it the festival to remember.

Prolific author and once one of the UK’s most wanted drug smugglers, Howard Marks,  has been confirmed to appear at the festival as part of what already promises to be one of the funniest comedy line-ups yet.

He will be delivering the festival’s Sunday Sermon on the Bohemia Stage and will appear alongside Sean Hughes, Brendon Burns and critically acclaimed comic Tiffany Stevenson.

Marks has had somewhat colourful past being described by the Daily Mail as ‘the most sophisticated drugs baron of all time’. Now fully reformed spends his time taking centre stage entertaining crowds with tales from his past.

Recently confirmed for the comedy end of the festival is Bill Bailey who will be heading up the Saturn Arena and Jackass’s Steve-o who will be making his UK stand-up debut on the Bohemia stage.

The festival is selling out fast and takes place on 8th-10th July 2011 at Knebworth House.
